About this Project

Reconstruction of Sheyenne Street from Beaton Drive to 32nd Avenue to increase roadway capacity from one lane in each direction to three lanes in each direction. Includes installation of traffic signals at major intersections. Project coincides with I-94 interchange reconfiguration project.

Estimated Construction Cost

  • $24 million (partially funded by ND DOT)

Road Closures

  • East- and westbound lanes adjacent to the medians on 32nd Avenue east and west of Sheyenne Street closed
  • Road will be open to one lane of traffic in both directions with reduced lane size
  • Congestion and delays likely during peak traffic

Current Work

  • Lift station site 1 form and pour wall
  • Storm drain south of 26th Avenue W. 
  • Repair and install sanitary sewer force main at diversion channel
  • Water relocations
  • Remove overhead electrical line south of diversion channel to 29th St. W.
